Why do we desire what we desire? In sexual fantasies there are no limits? And porn? Is it the translation of these fantasies?
This 2025 we return to Santa Mònica’s Tuesdays of video with a film that reflects on the use of image and language in mainstream and alternative pornography. DIYSEX is a journey through the different steps involved in making a porn film. From the writing of the script to the shooting to its distribution, always focusing on the reflections and thoughts of the protagonist, to the point of wondering if it makes sense to review and move away from the normative uses of the erotic and pornographic image.
We will meet on Tuesday 11 March at 7 p.m. in the Sala Bar at Santa Mònica, in a session open to everyone and free of charge, to watch and comment on this experimental film in the company of some of its authors (Juno Álvarez, Yaiza de Lamo, Mar Nantas and Mariona Vázquez).
Tuesdays of video is Santa Mònica’s audiovisual programme with free and regular screenings every Tuesday at 7pm in the Sala Bar. This programme is curated by different external and internal groups from Santa Mònica who are periodically invited.
